Feeding the Spirit is excited to announce the launch of our new community garden and farming initiative in partnership with the Imhoff Family.
What began as tiny seeds planted with hope and intention is now taking root in the soil. Our vision is simple yet meaningful: to grow fresh, nutritious produce that can be shared alongside our Thursday evening meals, providing food that is local, healthy, and rooted in care for our neighbors.
This initiative is about more than growing vegetables. It is about cultivating community, promoting sustainability, and creating opportunities for people to come together with a shared purpose. As the garden grows, we hope to engage more volunteers, expand our harvest, and eventually offer products that are truly farmed with soul and spirit.
Many of our plants were started from seed and nurtured over the past several months. Today, those humble beginnings are becoming rows of tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, beans, and other produce that will help nourish those we serve.
But a thriving garden requires many hands.
We are currently seeking volunteers to help throughout the growing season with planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting. No gardening experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn, get your hands dirty, and be part of something meaningful.
Whether you can volunteer once or throughout the season, your help will make a difference. Gardening offers a chance to connect with nature, learn new skills, build friendships, and contribute directly to feeding our community.
We are grateful for partnerships like the one we share with the Imhoff Family, and we are grateful for every volunteer, supporter, and friend who helps bring this vision to life.
From tiny seeds grow abundant harvests. Together, we look forward to seeing what this season will bring.
